Avery Swimwear at the Toronto National Women's Show

This year marked many firsts for Avery, including being part of one of the biggest conventions in Toronto. After been rescheduled twice due to COVID, the National Women's Show finally took place this past May. Located at the Metro Convention Centre, it was the first time we got to showcase our sustainable collection in real life to thousands of attendees.

Originally scheduled to take place six months prior, we were eager to bring our feminine and edgy pieces to the women of Toronto. We brought out our entire collection with 11 different styles ranging from sizes extra small to extra large. It was the first time since launching back in August 2021 that people were able to feel the fabric up close.

The National Women's Show in Toronto took place for the entire weekend from May 4-6th and we loved every minute of it. It was so amazing to meet the women who we ultimately created this collection for and get their feedback as well. The best takeaway from this was definitely seeing the reactions to our bikinis being made from recycled ocean waste.

Having never done a show for our brand before, we knew we wanted to bring Avery to life the best we could. Avery swimwear is meant to be soft yet sexy with a bold femininity to it. With every detail from the all-black clothing rack, wooden hangers and our cursive neon name sign, we carefully handpicked everything to encapsulate the message of our brand.

The pastel colours against the all-black furnishings were made to showcase the contrast in our collection. Intertwined with a softness as much as with bolder details, our booth was designed to be the same. Using vegan leather as an edgy trim to our Liv Bikini and in full for our Lola Bikini, we knew we had to add the same alluring vibe to the look of our booth.

Up to this point, Avery has only been made available online but doing the National Women's Show really brought us so much joy that we can't wait to do it all over again. We loved having our customers try on our sustainable bikinis and packaging their new suits with our signature free drawstring bag - in real time.

Stay tuned to hear where we'll be showing next. Word has it that we'll be doing two more shows this upcoming fall!
